Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice 2026
Nosta Restaurant & Bar opened on Marlborough Street in 2012 as a family business with one idea: cook Mediterranean food properly, and serve it in a relaxed room in the middle of Cork city.
Nosta's owner is Turkish, and that is where many of our recipes come from: döner from our own grill, Adana and köfte skewers, pide and lahmacun from the wood-burning oven, meze such as ezme and hummus, and baklava to finish. Alongside them sit the Greek and Italian dishes Cork has always loved here, from the Greek feta salad to
wood-fired pizza and pasta.
The kitchen is run by our head chef Niko, who has more than 40 years of experience at the grill. Many of our regulars know him by name, and several dishes carry it: Niko's döner, Niko's special burger and
Niko's Platter, the sharing board of lamb, chicken and köfte skewers with lamb and chicken döner. If you only try one thing, make it his lamb skewers.
Our fish comes fresh from the English Market, a few minutes' walk away, all our meat is
halal certified, and everything from the grill is cooked to order.
Since 2012 Nosta has become a place for every kind of occasion: a
romantic dinner, a birthday, a family gathering, a
Sunday lunch, a
Christmas party or a quick bite between shops. We hold 4.6 stars from more than 2,600 Google reviews and a Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice award, and we are still family-run.
We are open daily from 12 noon at 4 Marlborough Street. Come in, make yourself at home, and say hello to Niko.
